I haven’t eaten here yet, but it looks like a really cool spot very rustic and country decent prices and the food looks good with good portions. It’s a nice area with a bunch of other shops and a nice coffee shop close by
Road trip. Early morning cravings for home style comfort foods. And Cadillac Cafe delivered. Has whistle stop cafe vibe and menu. I woke up a big foggy so needed to start out with a coffee and their coffee was superb. Ordered the corned beef hash part because It sounded good but also because I believe that this dish is a good indicator or the authenticity and quality of the kitchen. It was delicious and immense portions so much that I was able to share. Also came with. Pancake which I was craving so an added bonus. I do plan to return to the area and look forward to trying other menu items. Highly recommend. And start with coffee.
The red sauce chilaquiles with mixed scrambled eggs were delicious. Best chilaquiles I have tasted along with their house potatoes. The black coffee was good too. Place was busy and it’s a little small for seating but they make it work. Waiters were very friendly. I would be back for sure.
Food was good We only had to wait 20mins for a table. It was around 11am. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. You will be seated quicker if you have no preferance. Staff is inviting and friendly. Food was prepared fairly quickly. Coffee is tasty, they had french vanilla or hazelnut singles. Plenty of Splenda for my coffee :) It was alot of food. I took it home and ate it the next morning for breakfast. I ordered chicken fried steak with scramble eggs, potatoes and fruit. Joe had steak and scramble eggs with potatoes and fruit.
This place is a cultural as well as a culinary experience. Everything from the food to the service had a strong 1950's diner feel / spin to it. Felt like I was family, at my aunt and uncles house. They actually enjoyed having my relatively quiet, well behaved children there. (We opted to sit on the patio to avoid possibly irritating the customers inside) The first time I ate here by myself, was no different. The food is EXCELLENT. The Ruben is better than most. The chilequile's were surprisingly delicious (had a 50's style spin to it that was actually pleasant)
Total Score: 8.55 Bathroom: 4.75/5 Very clean and tidy. Also was occupied by the California map. Customer Service: 5/5 Super friendly and had friendly conversations. Also even gave me a free sample of the hollandaise sauce. Refilled waters without asking too. Ambiance: 4/5 Cadillacs and baby photos. Lots to look at and gives Route 66 vibes Food: 4.5/5 Food was awesome! Hash browns was of perfect crispness. Furthermore, the eggs Benedict’s was delicious. One complaint was ham was a bit out of texture and the eggs were not as runny. Wow: 0.5/1 Very friendly service and awesome food. Total Score = BR + CS + 2*AM + 5*FOOD + WOW
Service was fast, accurate and very pleasant. Food was tasty, hot and quickly served. A lot of great food options on the menu.
Marvelous food and generous servings. No wait to be seated and quick, polite service. The club sandwich was huge, more like two sandwiches. And it was a treat to have curly fries. My partner had the omelette with carnitas. I wanted that too! Hash browns were perfection.
